This story belongs to Nakamarra, Napurrurla women and is associated with a place called Jaralypari, north of Yuendumu. Lukarrara is a species of Fimbristylis which is an edible seed bearing grass. The seeds are traditionally ground on a large stone (Puturlu) with a smaller stone (ngalikirri) to make a flour. This flour is mixed with water (ngapa) to make damper. The concentric circles in the painting represents Jaralypari and also the seed bearing grass. The ‘U’ shapes are karnta (women) collecting Lukarrarra. The wavy lines represent seeds that fall down to the ground and also collected by women.
