Wayipi Jukurrpa (Bush Onion Dreaming)

Jurjurrayi, a Japangardi man, travelled through country from Ngarlikyi to Wanapi. In this area he spied on a number of Nangala and Nampijinpa women who were digging for Wayipi (Bush Onion). The Japangardi man yearned for the women and tried to reach them in the cave they were hiding in. In his attempts to climb up to the cave, he slipped and fell. The centre circle is Wanapi, the “U” shapes sitting are Nampijinpa and Nangala women.
